Before You Choose a Free TEFL Course
Not all free TEFL courses are the same. Find out what FreeTEFLCourses.com does — and why it's worth visiting before you enrol.
What Are Free TEFL Courses?
Free TEFL courses allow you to study TEFL training without paying a course tuition fee. However, “free” can mean different things, so it is important to understand exactly what a course provides before enrolling.
Free TEFL Courses.com helps you discover and compare genuine free TEFL training options, so you can look beyond the headline price and consider the course content, length, depth and learning pathway.
The courses featured here are provided by recognised TEFL course providers. You leave Free TEFL Courses.com when you are ready to enrol and study, and complete your training on the provider's own website.
Free Training. Optional Certification
Free to Study. Optional Certification.
There is an important distinction between free TEFL training and a free accredited TEFL certificate.
The courses featured on this site are free to study. You can access the training without paying a course tuition fee. Accredited certification, where offered, may involve a separate fee.
This model allows students to access substantial TEFL training without the cost of a traditional paid course, while still providing the option of obtaining an accredited credential where certification is required or desired.
Always check what is included before enrolling. A course being advertised as “free” does not automatically tell you how much training is available or whether certification is included.
That reinforces one of our most important messages, and the blueprint explicitly requires this distinction.
Not Every “Free” TEFL Course Is the Same
The word free does not necessarily mean that a course provides complete TEFL training.
Some offers provide only sample lessons, introductory material or limited access before asking students to pay. Others may provide substantial training that is genuinely free to study.
When comparing free TEFL courses, look at what you can actually access, how much training is provided, whether the course includes meaningful assessment and how much depth it offers.
That's why we recommend comparing the content and learning experience, not simply looking for the course with the lowest price.
